Ah, spring is in the air...and the ground. Time to garden.
Whether an expert or a novice, there is a lot to learn about gardening, both ornamental and for food. A simple keyword search in the ACC Library catalog for gardening gets over 350 results. These will be a mix of print books, e-books, and videos. If you want something more specific add keywords such as roses or vegetable.

A great source for periodical articles is the library database AGRICOLA from the US Department of Agriculture. A search here for gardening gets over 1000 full-text articles, so you probably want to look for something specific. (If you access this from off campus, your ACCeID will get you in.)
There are excellent local resources on the web:
Austin Area Gardening Council - A large collection of practical info and links to other local garden groups.
Austin Organic Gardeners - Organic techniques, planting calendar, and more.
Zilker Garden Center - Web site for the lovely facilities in Zilker Park, where many gardening activities and clubs happen. This site also has how-to info.
Austin Community Gardens - Live in an apartment? Check out the city's community gardens where you can get your own slice of heaven.
